SCD is a voluntary organization which is registered under Societies Registration Act. 1860. It was established by a group of likeminded social workers and educationists who were working in the fields of education, health, environmental protection, skill development, technical education rural development and women empowerment. Organization began with very limited resources as well as manpower. The organization aims to empowerment of the economically weaker & socially marginalized section of the society through capacity building of the people.
As far as the legal status of SCD is concern, it is legally constituted voluntary organization having registration under Societies Registration Act. 1860. It works on No Profit-No Loss basis.
SCD works among women, children, youth and poor. Major areas of interest of the organization are education, health, environmental protection, skill development, rural development and women empowerment.
Rather than rendering to the beneficiaries, SCD works to enhance their capacities so that they can realize their potentialities and can bring a positive change in their lives. In other words it can be said that SCD works not for the people but with the people.
Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!
